Hand Out a Flyer That Catches the Light
In a stack of handouts, the metallic flyer is the one that shines. It's a full-color flyer with a real metallic foil accent pressed onto the front, so a headline, a logo, or a border reads like polished metal and moves with the light. Whether you're announcing a launch, sending a gala invitation, or tucking a thank-you into a premium package, it makes the piece feel expensive before anyone reads a word. Runs of 500 start at $317.44 and hold a 4.6 out of 5 across 5 reviews.
These flyers do the heavy lifting on presentation. You print your artwork in full color, and the foil accent lands on the front, so even a simple layout looks high-end. The price rewards a bigger run. A set of 500 starts at $317.44, about 63 cents per flyer, and the per-flyer cost keeps sliding as the count climbs toward 25,000, so a full run for a launch or a mailer costs far less per flyer than a small test batch. What Are Metallic Flyers?
Metallic flyers are full-color flyers finished with a real metallic foil accent pressed onto the front, printed in 9 sizes from 4" x 6" up to 6" x 11", on a 16pt gloss cover stock. People reach for them when a standard flyer would look too plain: product launches, luxury retail, high-end real estate listings, event and gala invitations, restaurant menu inserts, and premium package thank-yous. Because the foil shines and the stock is heavy, the flyer gets handled and kept instead of skimmed and tossed. If you want a choice of foil colors placed on the front, back, or both sides, the Foil Flyers cover that, and the metallic flyer sits right beside it as the version with a foil accent on a gloss cover front.
What Size Should a Metallic Flyer Be?
The right size comes down to how much you need to show. The 4" x 6" default is the everyday handout, small enough to pass out at scale. The 4.25" x 5.5" and 4.25" x 6" sit close for a slightly taller card, the 4" x 9" reads like a slim rack piece, and the range climbs to a roomy 6" x 11" when your design and its foil accent need the most room to breathe. All 9 sizes, both ink options, and every finish are grouped below exactly the way the live configurator presents them, so you know what you can change before you change it. For a smooth silk feel across the whole flyer, the Silk Flyers are the closer match.
Here are a few easy ways to make a metallic flyer pull its weight.
Put the foil where it counts
The metallic foil reads best as an accent, not a wall. Design your full-color art so the foil lands on a logo, a headline, a border, or a single icon, and let the rest of the layout carry the detail. The accent sits on the front, over the gloss cover, so it shines against the printed design underneath and pulls the eye to the one thing you most want read.
Layer spot UV over the front
Spot UV gloss is a separate finish you can add to the front of the flyer. It lays a clear raised sheen over the areas you pick, so you can pair the metallic foil accent with a glossy highlight on the same side, one shiny and one wet-looking, for real depth in the hand. Prefer an even shine everywhere? A High Gloss UV coat covers the whole front instead.
Design it without a designer
You do not need a design background to make a metallic flyer look sharp. Start from a free, professionally built layout in our flyer design templates, then change the colors, copy, and logo in the online editor in minutes. Keep the foil area bold and simple so the shine has one clear job.
Already have your artwork? Skip the editor and download a press-ready blank instead. The blank metallic flyer template is built at the real trim size with the bleed and safe margin already drawn in, so your design never crowds the cut. Grab it, drop your art in, mark where the foil accent should go, and upload.
Wally presses the shine right onto the front
Why a metallic foil accent gets a flyer kept, not tossed.

Metallic flyers start at $317.44 for 500 and press a real metallic foil accent onto the front of your full-color design. Pick a size up to 6 by 11 inch, add High Gloss or Spot UV, round the corners, and Wally prints it on a 16pt gloss cover stock.
How Much Do Metallic Flyers Cost?
Metallic flyers start at $317.44 for 500, about 63 cents each, and the per-flyer price keeps dropping as the quantity climbs toward 25,000, so a cheaper metallic flyer really comes down to how big a run you order. A set of 2,500 runs $646.94, 5,000 runs $910.55, and 15,000 runs $2,228.61, where each flyer costs close to 15 cents, with 25,000 landing at $3,436.82. So how many do you actually need? Drag the slider below to set your count and watch both the total and the true per-flyer cost update live, and find the point where one more step up barely moves the budget.
How Do Metallic Flyers Compare to the Rest of the Range?
Metallic flyers are the premium pick when a foil accent is the point, but they are not your only move. If you are weighing a choice of foil colors, a smooth silk finish, or a specialty cut, it helps to see the trade-off in plain numbers. The chart below lines up metallic flyers against their closest siblings so you can compare the starting price on each before you choose. For a specialty trim with the same upscale feel, the Staggered Cut Flyers are worth a look too.

Can You See a Proof Before Printing?
Yes, and on a foil job it is worth doing. You choose between sending your file straight to production or requesting a free online proof, a digital preview you approve before the press runs. Because the foil placement and trim matter more here than on a plain flyer, the proof lets you confirm the accent lands exactly where you want it. Every order is also backed by the 4OVER4.COM guarantees, and you can read the details on our guarantees page.
How Fast Can You Get Metallic Flyers?
Metallic flyers print on a 7 business day standard turnaround. The metallic foil accent is an added finish that takes time to apply, so plan for that 7 business day window when a launch or event has a fixed date. You set your size, ink, and finish options and see the production schedule in the configurator before you order, so there is no guessing on the delivery date.
