What should I do if my proof shows "checking files"?
Answer
A status of "checking files" simply means the system is still processing your uploaded artwork. It is a normal stage in the proofing workflow and usually clears on its own.
- The files are being reviewed and prepared before a proof can be posted.
- Give it a little time, as this step is expected.
- If the status sticks for longer than you would expect, contact support.
- Support can confirm your files are processing correctly and are not stuck.
The approve button appears only after this step finishes, so wait a moment and refresh the proofs page. If you chose Straight To Production at checkout, no approve button appears: the job goes to print once the file review passes.
