Question
Should I review my order specifications before approving it?
Answer
Yes, always review every specification before you approve an order for production. Approval is your final sign-off, and once the job enters production these details are locked in. Confirm each of the following:
- Design and content: spelling, phone numbers, addresses, and that the latest artwork is uploaded.
- Material and finish: the paper or stock, coating, and any special finishing you selected.
- Size and orientation: the correct dimensions and portrait or landscape setup.
- Quantity: the exact count you need.
- Sides: single or double sided, and that front and back files are placed correctly.
If anything looks off, request a correction and a fresh proof before approving. After approval the order moves to production and cannot be modified.
