Put Your Brand on the Wall, Then Peel It Off Clean
Press one corner to the wall, smooth it flat with your palm, and a blank office turns into a branded space in the time it takes to hang a poster. Brand an office lobby, wrap a retail feature wall or build an event backdrop, and the graphic goes exactly where you need it without paste, tools, or a mark left behind.
Where a painted mural or a permanent vinyl stays for good, the fabric goes on soft, reads matte and comes down without residue, so the wall is ready for the next design. It sits beside the vinyl and rigid options in our wall graphics printing range.
What is adhesive wall fabric
Think of it as a peel-and-stick mural: a printable, self-adhesive textile that mounts directly onto a wall. Instead of vinyl that fights you on the wall, you can line it up, lift a corner, and slide it until it sits straight. The fabric face has no harsh glare under office or retail lighting and holds crisp full-color print edge to edge.
What material is adhesive wall fabric printed on
Everything prints on one purpose-built stock. The 7mil figure is the thickness, about seven thousandths of an inch: heavy enough to lie flat, thin enough to hug corners and trim neatly. The low-tack adhesive holds for the length of a campaign and lifts off in one piece when you are ready for the next design, which makes it the safe choice for rented spaces and anywhere a permanent graphic would be a problem.
Adhesive wall fabric versus vinyl decals
Both stick to a wall and both print full color, but they are built for opposite jobs. Wall fabric is a woven material on a low-tack adhesive, made to come back off. A vinyl decal is a film on a stronger adhesive, made to stay.
| Question | Adhesive wall fabric | Vinyl decal |
|---|---|---|
| Residue on paint | The low-tack adhesive lifts away clean, which is why it goes up in offices, rentals and leased retail space | A stronger adhesive can leave residue, and on fresh or low grade paint it can take a flake of the paint with it |
| Repositioning | Lift it and lay it down again while you line it up, as many times as it takes to get level | Effectively one shot, since the film grabs on contact and stretches if you pull it back |
| Wall texture | The woven face sits down onto a lightly textured or orange peel wall better than a smooth film does | Wants a smooth, sealed surface, and lifts at the high points of a textured wall |
| Lifespan | Built for a campaign, a season, a launch, a set of quarterly numbers on a wall | Built to stay put, including on glass and hard surfaces where a long life matters |
| Removal | Peel a corner and pull it away slowly in one piece, no heat, no solvent | Often needs heat and patience, and scraping is a common part of the job |
If the graphic has to come down again, or the wall belongs to a landlord, this is the material. If it is going up for good on a smooth surface, a decal is the better tool.
How to install and remove it
- Wipe the wall with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it dry completely. Dust and grease are what stop the adhesive from gripping. Skip ammonia cleaners and anything that leaves a wax.
- Let new paint cure fully before hanging anything on it. Paint that is dry to the touch is not the same as paint that has finished curing, and adhesive on uncured paint is how corners lift.
- Mark a level line in pencil where the top edge will sit. One person with a level beats two people eyeballing it.
- Peel a few inches of the liner off the top, tack the top edge to your pencil line, and step back to check it before you commit any more of it.
- Squeegee from the center outward in overlapping strokes, peeling the liner down behind you as you go. Working center to edge pushes air out instead of trapping it.
- If a section goes on crooked or a bubble refuses to move, lift that part back off and lay it again. The adhesive is made to allow it while you line the graphic up.
- Trim around switch plates, outlets and edges with a fresh blade held flat to the wall.
- To take it down, lift one corner and pull slowly back on itself at a low angle rather than straight out from the wall. It comes away in one piece and leaves the paint behind it.
What size can adhesive wall fabric be
There are no set sizes to squeeze your idea into. Measure the space, enter the finished width and height, and upload art built to those proportions, whether that is a small square above a desk or a graphic that spans a retail wall. For a wall wider than 52 inches, order it as panels that butt together at a seam and build each file to its panel.
How much does adhesive wall fabric cost
A small graphic behind a reception desk costs far less than a full wall mural, and the live configurator shows the exact total for your size and speed before you order. You can order 1 to 100 pieces at once, so a single feature wall and a rollout across store locations both fit in one order. Want a competitor's number beaten? The 4OVER4 Price Match beats a lower price from a U.S. retail printer by 10% - the 110% price-match guarantee.
The comparison below puts the fabric beside dry erase graphics, a wood poster hanger frame and standard decals with the starting price of each. For a firmer or glossier wall graphic, see the woven Wall Graphic, the tougher Vinyl Wall Graphics and the rigid Aluminum Wall Graphics.

Standard production runs 3 business days, and when the install date moves up, you can move with it: same-day jobs ship that afternoon from the NYC plant once your file is approved by the cutoff. What do people use adhesive wall fabric for
It shows up wherever the message changes but the wall should not. Retailers wrap feature walls and window backs for a season, the job our retail wall graphics also cover, then swap the graphic when the promotion ends. Offices put a logo or a mission statement behind the front desk. Event and trade show teams use it for backdrops and booth walls that reinstall without special tools. Adhesive Wall Fabric: Frequently Asked Questions
Will it damage the paint?
It is designed not to: the low-tack adhesive grips a clean wall and peels off without residue, which is why it goes up in leased offices and rented retail units. Two conditions matter: the wall should be clean and dry when it goes up, and the paint fully cured, not fresh.
Can I reuse it?
Lifting and re-laying a panel while you get it level is normal. Reusing it months later in another room is a maybe rather than a promise: peel it off slowly, lay it back on its liner and store it flat and clean, and a graphic will often go up a second time. Bunch it into a bag and it will not.
Can it go outdoors?
This is an interior material. The low-tack adhesive and the woven face are made for painted indoor walls, not for rain, direct sun and freeze cycles.
