Why am I seeing multiple transactions for a single order?

Seeing more than one line for a single order on your statement is almost always a temporary payment authorization rather than a real duplicate charge. Your bank or card issuer places a pending hold when the order is submitted, then settles the final amount once the order processes, and the pending entry usually drops off on its own within a few business days.

• Pending authorization hold: a temporary amount your bank reserves at checkout that clears automatically.
• Retry after a decline: if a first attempt failed, a second successful attempt can briefly show next to the released hold.
• Split shipments or add-ons: separate charges can appear if items ship at different times or an upgrade was added.
• Genuine duplicate: rare, and easy to confirm against your order number.
