Question
Will my hard copy proof be printed on the same paper as my final order?
Answer
Not always. A hard copy proof is produced to show you layout, color, and print quality, but it may not be printed on the exact stock and finish you selected for the final run. If seeing the actual paper is important, there are better ways to confirm it.
- Request a sample folder or paper sample so you can see and feel the specific stock, weight, and finish you chose.
- Ask 4OVER4 support to include blank samples of the gloss, matte, or specialty finish you are considering.
- Compare finishes side by side before you lock in the final specification for your order.
- Use the hard copy proof to confirm design and color, and use the paper sample to confirm the material.
If your project depends on an exact stock match, tell 4OVER4 support before approving so they can point you to the best way to preview it.
