Question

Why does my online proof look blurry or pixelated?

Answer

Online proofs are intentionally displayed at low resolution so they load and preview quickly, which means some blur or pixelation on screen is expected. It is not a measure of how your printed piece will look.

  • Why it looks soft: the proof is a compressed, low-resolution preview, not the file that goes to press.
  • The real signal: as long as the file team did not flag your artwork as low resolution, your final print will be crisp.
  • If you are still unsure: reject the proof and add a comment asking for a review, and a file rep will take a look.

In short, on-screen blur alone is normal. A low-resolution flag from the file team is the thing to act on.
