Question
Can I make changes to an order after it's placed?
Answer
Yes, changes are often possible after you place an order.
- Contact 4OVER4 support with your order number and describe exactly what you would like to change, whether that is files, quantity, size, stock, finishing, ink coverage (for example 2/0 one-sided to 4/4 full color both sides), turnaround speed, shipping method, or the shipping address.
- Reach out before starting a brand new order, since modifying the existing one may be possible and can save you time and money.
- Changes are easiest before the order reaches production. As a rule of thumb: before you approve the proof, edits are easy; after approval but before press, sometimes possible if you contact support fast; once printing has begun, no longer possible.
- For file changes, reject the free online proof to reopen the upload, submit the corrected artwork, and a fresh proof is generated. Nothing prints until you approve the new proof, so review it carefully.
Updates to quantity, materials, or speed can change your price and turnaround; the team confirms any difference before applying it, and some edits reset the clock because the corrected file goes back through review. You receive email updates as your change progresses, and requests are actioned fastest during business hours, so flag a needed change as early as you can.
