What is the smallest font size I can use in my Raised Spot UV artwork?
Answer
Do not use text smaller than 6pt in Raised Spot UV artwork. The coating is built up with real height, so very fine text can fill in or lose definition.
- Regular fonts: 6pt minimum.
- Bold or thick-stroke fonts: 9pt minimum, so the strokes do not merge.
- Thin, delicate typefaces are riskier at small sizes.
- Give thin lines, small icons and fine details extra breathing room so the raised coating registers cleanly.
- When in doubt, size up slightly: type a little above the limit reads cleaner and wears better over time.
