If I upload corrected files after proofs are generated, will new proofs be created automatically?
When you upload a corrected file after a proof has already been posted, a new proof is normally prepared so you can review the updated version before the job goes to production.
- Upload the new file to your existing order; there is no need to place a new order or delete the earlier submission.
- 4OVER4 always works from the most recently uploaded file, so the newest upload replaces the previous one as the active file.
- The revised file goes back through review and a fresh proof is posted for your approval.
- There can be a short delay while the new file is processed.
- If you do not see an updated proof, contact 4OVER4 support with your order reference to confirm the file was received and a new proof is on the way.
Your job waits on your approval, so it will not print on the old version while the new proof is being prepared. One exception: if you chose Straight To Production at checkout, the job moves into production automatically once it passes file review, without a proof approval step. If you want the chance to approve every change, make sure your order is set for online proofs before you upload revisions, and double-check that your final upload is the exact version you want on press.
