How often do I need to replace poster putty?

Plan to refresh poster putty about every 3 to 6 months. Over time the putty dries out and loses its tack, so a poster that once held firmly may start to sag or slide. Replacing it is quick and inexpensive.

• Watch for warning signs: sagging corners or slipping means the putty is spent.
• Peel the old putty: remove every bit from the poster and the wall.
• Roll fresh pieces: warm new putty between your fingers until pliable.
• Reapply: press fresh dabs to the corners and midpoints, about a two-minute job.

Warm rooms and direct sunlight dry putty faster, so displays in those spots may need attention sooner.
