Question

What file format should I use for foam core printing?

Answer

A print-ready PDF is the safest choice for foam core.

  • Export as PDF in CMYK color mode
  • Use 150 DPI at final size as the minimum, with 300 DPI ideal for sharp detail
  • Add 0.125 inch bleed on all sides
  • Outline fonts and embed images so nothing shifts at print time
