Question
What file format and resolution should I use for my display artwork?
Answer
Large-format display artwork should be built to reproduce cleanly at size. Because displays are viewed from a few feet away, the resolution requirement is lower than for a business card, but the file setup still matters.
| Setting | Recommended |
|---|---|
| File type | Print-ready PDF, AI, or PSD |
| Resolution | 150 DPI minimum at final print size |
| Color mode | CMYK |
| Bleed and safe zone | Include bleed, keep key content away from edges and seams |
Start from a template sized to the exact display so your artwork lines up with the visible area and any hardware overlap.
